Boy, what a weekend, as per usual: projects around the house, DIY's, social celebrations, and on Saturday I was in for a very speacial treat! I attended a blogger conference called Blogpodium hosted by two of my fave Canadian blogstresses, Lindsay from Little House Blog and Jennifer from Rambling Renovators Since I'm new to this whole blog thing (well, new to writing, def not new to reading - teeny tiny obsession) I thought it would be a wonderful way to learn a little bit more about the business of blogging and to get a sense of what the Canadian blog community was made of.
Approximately 200 fab bloggers who love interior design and such, gathered at the Arcadian Loft in downtown Toronto. We were one of the first groups to experience this hip new venue - think exposed brick and beam living in harmony with sparkly chandeliers; an impressive space.

The venue was set up with perfect attention to detail, simple and pretty. Mason jars, stuffed with plush pink roses and trimmings and silver mercury glass candle holders strewn about.
I also thought these sweet li'l pencil holders filled with white rice were a chic touch!
As for the event itself, we were treated to an insightful presentation from the event's keynote speaker Nicole Balch from Making it Lovely, check out her blog, it's as sweet as pie. There was also a panel discussion and open forum with some celeb status bloggers and PR experts.
We had a chance to meet with some wonderful brands that support bloggers and love to work with them in many different ways. Some of my personal faves were there including: Gluckstein Home, Home Sense, Benjamin Moore, West Elm and Indigo. The whole affair was shot by Mango Studios, many of the photos I've used here are courtesy of them, check out their oh so pretty weddings *swoon*.
I learned more than my my bleached out little brain could handle, but most of all I appreciated knowing there are lots of blogistas just like me, writing about what they love and hoping people "out there" will read and enjoy. For me it's as simple as that, of course I'd love for this passion of mine to create opportunities that allow me to share and grow my creativity, but for now, I'm just happy chatting.
Lovely recap! Too bad we didn't get to meet on Saturday - will have to make a point of it at the next event :) Adding your blog to my reading list...
